Highland Park is considered an affluent town with an estimated population of 8,564 located in central Dallas County, Texas. Highland Park is one of the two communities of Park Cities (an enclave of Dallas), the other being University Park. The area was originally bought in 1889 by a group of investors from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, known as the Philadelphia Place Land Association.
